Tattoo Tuesdays: Pass the Change

Welcome to a Tuesday that feels too much like a Monday. I had a bad start to my morning, all because I couldn't find my black zipper hoodie. I have this way about me that I let the smallest detail send me on a highway to negativity land. Finishing up my hair in the bathroom this morning (the color still 'frightens' me a little) I whispered to myself "Bad morning, does mean a bad rest of the day. Get with it Maddie!" Yes I talk to myself, don't you?

Today's Features:

Needle and thread by Dr. Woo, Shamrock Tattoo, California.

I'm all about 'wearing' your passions. Simple, sweet, and great placement.

Hearts and me...you know we go together. The vintage appeal of this tattoo, not only because it features a gramophone, but with the inking style (sketchy pen and ink) really sets this tattoo off for me. I am not always a fan of back tattoos, but I like the creativity behind this one; manipulating the heart and gramophone to make one unique piece of skin art.

'Wearing' your passions for the win in this post! A chef, foodie, minimalistic tattoo...on the shoulder...on a guy. He can cook for me (insert wink)!

Honestly? At first I didn't like this tattoo, but for some odd reason the more look at the more I like it. The wispy typography taking over the arm is a definite eye catcher for me.

Tattoo Tuesdays: Give a little bit ... of YOUR love

Some days I eat, sleep, and breathe (even scream) hope, albeit a few folks around me view it as 'foolish' hope. I like to attribute my hope to two things. One, it is my relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I will be the first to admit that I am no prime example for the 'perfect' Christian, far from it, but I know where my hope is supposed to come from. I need smacked around and drug through the mud sometimes to remember . . . the hard way, but I know. Two, I'm a dreamer. We are prone to expecting the impossible and dreaming up the schemes that require so much hope you better be sucking the 'hope lollipop' like a fiend. (insert grin)

Walk in Hope.
'Walk in Hope' by {Jk} qc

Behold, the eye of the LORD [is] upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he [is] our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
Psalms 33:18-22 (NIV)

The placement of this tattoo and the typography make for an awesome tattoo. It is memorable and speaks of a destination we all may seek. I know I do.

Other Features for today:

Wish it away . . . I'm still deciding if this is paint
or a tattoo. Regardless it is cool and all the black (nails too)
makes it stand out. I'd like to think the flowers are dandelions . . .
because they are my favorite.

Hear that little bump, bump . . . that's where the heart is.
It's obvious, with my love of music, why I picked this tattoo.

Put your heart in hand . . .
Sweet and simple

Music for the moment:
Listening to everything by Walk the Moon! I just got their album in the mail today, but I already knew I loved their music.

Tattoo Tuesdays: Where do you wear your heart?

I imagine I am not the only person in the world who wears their emotions on their sleeve . . . or better yet, a giant flag waving in the wind proclaiming to all how I feel, etc. This can be annoying, frustrating, and so many levels of 'vulnerable yuck'. I'm still a private person a good deal of the time. I can't help thinking, though, that at times it would be nice to wear the emotions at the right time, for the right person, in an open 'free the bird from the cage' way. Let your words be silent and the emotions speak for themselves. Life just isn't that easy and we get to live the adventure of voicing these precious feelings for good or bad.

Pinterest find for today. The detail is subtle, but enough that I stare at it wondering if I have an innate attraction to veins and the blood that gives our hearts true life (i.e. not our emotions). Oh wait . . . I do. Biology, Science, Health class . . . never my favorite subjects, but this tattoo is just (sigh) the right fit. I much prefer this style of heart for a tattoo than a Valentine's heart.

Other Features for today:

Goldfish will always be synonymous with childhood for me. All things aquatic
usually share a place of high regard in my life anyways . . . you know this.

Tattoo Menu: Yes, I would like one please. Does it come with the guy? (insert grin)
Tattoo by: Rosana ‘Derma Donna’ at Dermadonna Custom Tattoo in Amsterdam, NL
Found via: Pinterest and TattooSnob

Point me in the right direction . . . please.

I don't want to be at the mercy of my emotions.
I want to use them, to enjoy them, and to dominate them.
